Welcome to Folksong Favorites. As there are several hundred songs at this site, I thought it would be a good idea to point newcomers (or anyone else for that matter) to some of my favorite songs. Some of these are here because of the melody, some for the words, and many for both. And some are here for purely sentimental reasons. Although I like many of the well-known folk songs, I didn't put a great many of them here, exactly because they are well-known. Most of the songs here are ones that people might not have yet discovered. I hope you enjoy them.
